A Day Trip At Nanyuki Oljogi Wildlife Conservancy
Oljogi Wildlife Conservancy acts as a private Rhino Sanctuary; Ol Jogi is surrounded by an innovative fencing system offering protection against poaching whilst facilitating extensive monitoring and security systems. In addition to the rhino, Ol Jogi has an abundance of endangered species including the reticulated giraffe, Gravy’s zebra, elephants, African wild dog, lion, cheetah, greater kudu and Laikipia hartebeest.
NB: Oljogi is the only conservancy in Africa with a Bear.
Itinerary
All Day
Nairobi - Nanyuki - Nairobi
Departure 6.00am. The car departs the hotel at 6.00am (if coming from Nairobi) and leaves for Nanyuki. Get to Nanyuki at 9.30am and have a stopover at Nanyuki town for 10minutes for a snack. Then depart for Oljogi conservancy and get there at 10.30 am. Welcome by the game rangers and begin our trip at the conservancy where we get to see the monkeys, baboons, lion, bear, parrot and other wildlife. Proceed to tree trout restaurant in Nanyuki for lunch, afternoon leisure, and then drive off back to Nairobi.
